If your child is absent for any reason, please contact the school by 9:30 A.M.
The goal of the Health Service Personnel is to instruct students in good health practices. This in part is done by maintaining good health through state mandated physical and dental exams, vision tests, hearing tests, measurements of height, weight and BMI. The Certified School Nurse is responsible for making sure that every student meets the state mandated immunization requirements.
Students who become ill or injured at school should report to the Nurse's Office. Parents are summoned, when necessary, to pick students up at school.
Students are not permitted to carry prescription or non-prescription medication with them at school. Medications that must be taken during school hours should be brought to the Nurse's Office by the student or parent in the original labeled container, accompanied by a district medication form. Students who need to carry an asthma inhaler with them should register it with the nurse at the beginning of each school year. Parents are encouraged to keep their children's health information up to date so that the nurses can communicate essential information to teachers and staff when it is necessary.
