In rain or in snow, sunshine or darkness you can find yellow school buses rumbling throughout the district between the months of August and June. The school district contracts with Durham School Services, to provide complete busing services for our children.
If you have moved within the district, a Change of Address form must be completed and submitted with all required documentation to the school main office before a new bus assignment can be given. This form can be obtained through the school office or by accessing the following link: Change of Address Form.
Starting August 5th, bus information will be emailed to all families with a valid email address on file. For families without an email address on file, bus assignment information will be sent out via Postal Service on August 7th. If you do not have a valid email address on file and would like to submit one for school-related correspondence, please contact your child's school building secretary.
Students are only allowed to be assigned to one AM bus and one PM bus. Exceptions will only be approved by meeting certain eligibility requirements and by submitting a Bus Change Request Form. A full description of the eligibility requirements can be found on the form.
Temporary (one-time) bus passes will only be allowed in the instance of an extreme emergency, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If you believe that your stop was missed or that the bus may be running late, please contact the dispatcher at the Bus Terminal Office at 717-244-0813.
