HOMEWORK

Homework is EXTREMELY important in math class. The only way to get better (like in sports, playing an instrument, learning how to ride a bike, etc) is to PRACTICE!!

  1. Homework will be assigned every day (with a few exceptions) and reviewed the following day in class.

  1. Homework should be completed in pencil on lined notebook paper.

  1. To be considered complete, every problem assigned must at least be attempted to be solved.  Correct answers are great, but effort is the important thing.  If you have questions regarding your homework, contact one of your study buddies.  If neither of your study buddies are available, feel free to contact me @ Michael.Grassel@dallastown.net.

  1. Points will be earned by showing effort on your homework.  Not showing effort will result in not earning points.

Full Effort= ALL the points               Zero Effort=0 points

NOTEBOOK

It is your responsibility to maintain an organized 3-rings notebook.  In your notebook you should have this sheet, a grade sheet, all homework, and all assignments (to help study before a quiz or test).

ABSENCES

It is your responsibility to make arrangements with me to make up work missed due to absence.  I will NOT remind you of missed work.  Any assignments made prior to your absence are due in class the day you return.  The same rules apply for being absent for an educational trip.  When you return to school you should get the notes for the class(es) that you missed (from one or both of your study buddies).  Failure to make up missed work as agreed upon will result in a zero for that particular assignment.  Illegal absences will automatically result in a zero for missed work.

GRADING SYSTEM

Your grade will be based on the total points you earn on tests, quizzes, homework, participation (showing up on time, being prepared, etc), and in-class assignments divided by the total points possible. A letter grade will be assigned based on the following grade scale.

90-100% = A

80- 89% = B

70- 79% = C

60- 69% = D

 0- 59% = E
